This is a very interesting, mold blown glass with bubbles still in tact canning jar from Mason forerunner of the Ball company in Muncie, Indiana. It is patented Nov. 30 1838 with zinc lid containing the original glass line.

The velvet envelope closure has a snap but there is also a draw string at the top to change the look of this terrific purse. Sterling Silver match safe

This is a Sterling monogrammed match safe which kept the small stick matches safe in a pocket so that they would not ignite when hit against something which could cause them to ignite. Where greatly used in the early part of the 1900's. |

Whiting Davis Gold Lame' Cigarette case
Size: 3 1/2 by 2 3/4 inches
This cigarette case is unmarked, however, it matches the other items I purchased by the same vendor and I would assume it is by the same manufacturer. It is a solid gold lame' lined with gold fabric, and looks as if it were never used no tint of tobacco remains. It has a zipper closure and picture using this as a change purse with a lipstick and comb for a night out in a designer shirt pocket. Great look! |

WHITING DAVIS GREEN/GOLD MESH EVENING PURSE

This an older variety of the Whiting Davis purses as it still has its cloth hand tag. It also has the Whiting Davis engraved on the metal frame. It is a mesh with green and gold iridescence metal woven for a great affect. It is lined with green taffeta and is in very good condition. The strap of metal is 8 1/2" long and is unique as it is a gold solid piece and then a circle pieces. Very pretty. |

It has the Whiting Davis metal stamping on the gold frame work. It has a 11 inch gold chain strap and has a wonderful crystal closing. Whiting Davis made jewelry and purses during this era and the purses have more than retained their value and will continue to do so, if properly taken care of. |
