Little Staffordshire Enamel box, made in England in the Old Bilston Battersea tradition. The top pictures three French Hens and the inside is "On the 3rd day of Christmas - My true love gave to me - Three French Hens". The box is enamel over copper with a 24kt gold plated hinge. The box is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and in excellent cindition, though there is no original box or paperwork.
